Thank you people of Helsinki and CIRCUS! 28/9/2014

I turn around and see Peter Baltes (the bass player of Accept) in front of me, he shakes my hand and he says to me:"You guys have done an excellent job on this tour and your singing is just awesome. Keep up the same way!" And then he left. I was so taken by it. The whole tour had been without any kind of proper contact with the band but now he came to me and gave compliments :)

The last day :( Everything good have to end in some point so we can start longing for the good times again. Two hour trip to Helsinki made me tired and maybe the little moment at home made me grumpy, I mean you never should go back home in the middle of touring. Why? Because you get home sick. Even though I knew it was just one day away but it had already affected me enough.
The minute I got on the stage with my band members, home sickness was forgotten and people took us in their embrace with their arms open and I was high again. Enjoying music together with the audience is one of the best things I know. Just that moment, those people who are part of this night, feeling the vibration coming out of the loud speakers and the waves of music passing through each and everyone of us, the brain are like a float and the waves come and takes you high. Combining the hearing experience and getting the body moving along : Put your fist up high, bang your head like never before, scream, cry, laugh, FEEL real emotions and don't hide them - with the other people around you, you are part of this, you are one of them, you are one of us.

Thank you all for reading these stories, next stories will be told about the Heroes tour with SABATON and DELAIN.

Until then, goodbye! love you all <3

BIG thank you Tampere! 27/9/2014

After long ride to Tampere I went home for a while and then to the venue Pakkahuone. There is supposed to be almost sold-out show, so the night is gonna be great no doubt ;) The day went pretty much the same as the previous: load in, sound check, lunch, make up and...oh and got to chat with Herman frank, the rhythmic guitar player of Accept. He asked if we are gonna stck around with them for the rest of their tour but no, we only had these few days. He seemed very nice and calm guy, it was an honor to meet him face to face and see excited fans around him. It made me think even more how much I love to be in music business. In twenty years I wanna be as cool as he.

This time I was able to watch almost the whole show of Accept, they are awesome! We had also lovely merch-girl, Jemma, selling our products..and she kicked ass! You can't say no to this girl ;) She is actually a local friend of mine and It she came to help in a very short notice. I met lovely people and especially I was happy it was allowed to the minors also so I could go and hug those little metal heads. Tomorrow is the last day of this memorable trip, but I don't want to think about it yet. I went to the back stage after Accept had finished and suddenly I hear voice behind me:"Can I come in?"-"Sure!"I said.

You can read who entered the backstage in the next day episode. Enjoy!

Tornio rocks! 26/9/2014

Haataja
Yesterday was so busy I didn't get a chance to update anything in here.
After a long good night sleep I woke up when Haataja (master of the lights) told me we would be going to Haaparanta in Sweden, so I had just half an hour to get myself together and jump in "the Egg". We went to a snuff store and stopped to eat something in a big shopping center just next to the border.
Make Up

Back at the hotel I had to start doing my preparations for the gig of the night. So I did my make up and then left to the venue Toranda.
Toranda is a big venue with a big concert hall, restaurant and terrace. It was established last year in November.

After the soundcheck I started putting up the merchandise desk because we still don't have anyone with us to sell our stuff. Juuso came along with his broken leg. Yes, Juuso broke his leg in a trampoline. On Thursday when we were spending our day off at Kalajoki we found a big trampoline in the front yard. Pyry, Eero and Juuso felt like kids again and started jumping on it until Juuso hurt his ankle while attempting to do a back flip. It's healing pretty well now but he still has to be careful when stepping on his foot.
Eero feeling happy

Yngwie Soinio
We were in a new situation with Juuso's leg and were wondering how is he gonna manage going through the show. No problem! He took some painkillers and beer and did his part as well as always.

Surprisingly, we were told not to bow to the audience after our show, something that we do every time, so we apologize Tornio people! We're gonna thank the audience by bowing the next time we're in Tornio on a show of our own.
The audience was awesome, thank you Tornio! Even though we were there for the first time, the people took us in their embrace better than we could have been expected.

Merchandise

After our show I got to the merch desk with Juuso and there were already a lot of people waiting for us. Let the chaos begin! It seemed the people of Tornio liked us. Hope we get back here again next year or so.

Nice stage :)
Pretty soon after Accept had started their show we started packing our stuff but it took a while because there was always someone coming to buy something. We had to leave the venue early because of the early wake up the next morning. We need to be traveling 10 hours to Tampere for a sold-out show in Pakkahuone. This is so great!

We got back to the hotel and tried to get some sleep while listening to the noise from the karaoke bar downstairs. Lovely, lovely tones!

See you later Tornio and see you people in Tampere in a while!

Thank you Seinäjoki! 24/9/2014 and 25/92104

Yesterday was awesome!

Even though it was Wednesday the audience made me feel like Friday. Damnations Day guys appeared to be Australian, very nice and easy to get along with. I think we're gonna make good friends on this trip. I didn't get the chance nor  have the courage to make contact with the Accept guys but I have time until Sunday. This was Battle Beast's first ever gig in Rytmikorjaamo and I gotta say - it wasn't  a disappointment. The staff was kind and took care of everything that we needed.

After our show, me and Juuso went straight to our merchandise desk to sell our products and say hi to the fans. It was really nice to hear people's opinions about our performance and music.

History of RYTMIKORJAAMO:
An old mail truck depot turned into a club when the local festival Provinssirock organization started using the place as their storage back in 2001. Couple of years later the dream of Seinäjoki's own rock club was realized when the Finnish band Zen Cafe played at the cleaned up storage building with huge success. In 2006 RYTMIKORJAAMO developed into a club with capacity of 1000 people, band rehearsal rooms and office rooms. In 2008 the new owners (Selmu ry, Frami Oy, Seinäjoki City) started profiling the place as RYTMIKORJAAMO and it became the city's own cultural center.
Pyry's style of sleeping

After dropping our stuff at the hotel we went
Juuso drinking the local way
looking for some night life and food from the center of Seinäjoki. We found both. Me and Juuso had a little bar tour while the others went to eat at a nearby grill kiosk. While drinking we discussed issues deep and not so deep, until the last bar closed their doors and we were
"forced" to go back to the hotel and get some sleep.

All in all Seinäjoki was a really good experience and I hope we get back there soon! Damnations Day guys left the venue in the middle of the night to look for snow... Yes, the guys being Australian, they find snow very exciting! And oh yeah, the band is f*n awesome. Check it out!

The road is hot and we're on it!
It's the day off and here we are - 8 guys crammed in our beloved car, "The White Egg", heading off to Tornio. What else can you hope for, but the constant scent of fart in the air and forgetting fellow band members at the gas stations? Oh, we also stopped by the sea for a break and a fresh breath of air at Kalajoki. NICE!

See you people in Tornio!
